How do I force install an addon that is not compatible with my version of firefox?

i am trying to install Hoxx VPN addon into an old version of firefox. Saying, “You need an updated version of Firefox for this extension.”

Try updating your version of Firefox.

Hoxx is trash. If you’re going to use a free VPN use Proton

I read some old articles about changing the configs to ignore the versions entirely… it seemed definitely possible.

Back in high school I used Psiphon. Free and did the trick. Also doesn’t need admin perms to run.

tried… can’t find it. plus the vpn limits countries in the old version and tells me to update it.

No it’s not. But you went thru the trouble of figuring out you need a VPN, dont half ass the job
