I downloaded VPN software for the free trial (Hide.me VPN).
I thought I might be able to get another free trial by creating a new user login, but it seems I am unable to do that. The software seems to recognize that I am on the same PC.
Is there a way to get the free trial again?

You do not make any sense, Hide. me has no free trial, it is a free VPN option with unlimited bandwidth that you can use for as long as you like.
I had already used the Proton VPN free trial once. I think I did try to use it again, but it recognized that my Trial was already used.
Have you been able to use the Proton VPN free trial again by rebooting your router or finding the buried files?
