Just got an error on Chrome, is this an Ad block tactic?
Your first mistake is using Chrome.
I have no data, no proof but I’m 100% sure it’s their tactic to scare people. Also if anything it make you browse faster
Well… we now know Google sponsoring the Ad Filtering Dev Summit 2023 was bs. Just enough engadgement to get people to trust them.

The first thing you do is install Firefox, then you uninstall Chrome.
For context, got this error suddenly when using Chrome. Just wondering if this is Google’s step into trying to get uBlock origin disabled.
Please don’t spread misinformation if you don’t have any actual evidence to back up your claims.
Chromium is open-source, so you can check the code to see exactly when and why this error message pops up.
According to the Twitter thread I linked below, it’s likely you were messing about with the extension, that caused a bunch of reloading, which in turn caused this message to be shown.
The message itself, and its triggers have been in the code for 10+ years.
Sitting in your car makes it use more gas
Use Brave browser instead. It’s based on chromium so if you’re using chrome, you might as well ditch it and use Brave instead.
Does what it claims actually happen? If not, then yes, it’s a scare tactic.
Just use brave browser (desktop and mobile)
They aren’t lying. Except the slowing is intentional.
Yeah don’t know why anyone is still using chrome. Cool love using a browser made by the biggest ad company ever.
Hmmm… very biased I would say. How about extensions that actually slows down performance?
I recommend using Opera GX to not be bothered!
You’re using uBlock.
Personally it’s always given me issues.
I forgot what one I’m using actively as I’m not on my computer atm but it works great on YouTube and my other sites
Honestly YouTube is just having a massive tantrum over ad blockers at this point
This is false. Don’t trust Google on this
I don’t have this issue on my chrome browser but that sucks that u do
