Opera mobile full screen video ads, annoying AF and more frequent, any way to block?

Now while using this every few web pages visited results in a full screen video ad that you can’t skip until a timer counts down. The ads are from various companies. Not only are they supremely irritating but I don’t have unlimited data so these full screen ads eat into my monthly data. They COST ME MONEY when I run out for the month. Is there any way to block these? I looked in settings but nothing there works.

Regular Opera or Opera GX?

Android or iOS?

Turn it off in settings

I use the Adguard extension inside Opera. And the only way i get yt blocking ads warning message is either cliking a yt link from an email or so, or either going back in your history …like keep click the back button on the window . Other than that…No ads here

I only experience the unskippable full screen video ads when I have the News enabled on Opera’s Start Page on Android. To disable it, go to Settings, Start Page, and toggle off News. Let me know if this helped.

I don’t see those ads here

Where? I don’t see anything in settings. It isn’t the same as ad block, that is enabled. It seems to be an Opera thing, not a website one.

Ok tried that, still getting full screen ads like every 4 or so articles from the Opera news feed.

I never said you should go to adblock settings

You should go to Notifications settings

Get the AdGuard extension, its free and it works beautifully on my mac. Not sure about android …but it should

Notifications were off.

Notifications settings in the opera browser, not system settings

Yes, was off in Opera.
