ProtonVPN CLI on headless Linux box

Has anyone gotten the ProtonVPN-CLI working on a headless linux box? I’ve got an Ubuntu 22.04 system that I’d like to use ProtonVPN from time to time.

I seem to be running into issues with the gnome keyring (!) which seems a strange requirement for a CLI tool.

I have a ticket opened with Proton but I figured I’d try here as well.

I’m on Ubuntu Server 22.04 and didn’t really have any issue with it, just followed the tutorial at https://protonvpn.com/support/linux-vpn-tool/#debian

download their deb, install it, then download the cli and all good.

You can also directly use wireguard if you can’t make it work for some reason

I don’t have any of the gnome crap installed. It chokes on the keychain. I’ll dig in and try the old client and see if I can get it working. Until then I’m using an assortment of random wireguard configs.
