Split tunneling not working on andorid

Hi Guys! I recently downloaded an app which does not work together with a VPN. I have added this app in the split tunneling “excluded apps” but it seems that every time that Proton is on, the app detects the VPN and does not work, once I turn off the VPN than it immediately works again. I have no clue on how exclude effectively this app through ProtonVPN traffic, because at the moment I am forced to not use protonvon during the day. The app is called “Video Door - Vimar” , if this can help. Thank you and sorry for my English

I have the same issue…exactly the same

Need help

Can you try enabling local connections?

After Split Tunnelling is enabled, check Android Settings, Network and Internet, VPN, Proton VPN, select the gear icon, Disable Block Connections Without VPN.

How can I do it? Is it a feature of the app?Thank you

Hi, thanks for the advice. Unfortunately I have already disabled that feature. I really cannot understand why split tunneling still doesn’t work with this specific app (Video Door - Vimar). I tried to turn on “Lan connection” and all the advice given in this post, but still nothing seems to change.

Yes, go into settings, under the “Advanced” section, you should see a toggle labeled “LAN connections”. Toggle it on. Make sure the app is still split tunneled.

Not sure why it doesn’t work by App, I haven’t tried that myself yet. As a test, try configuring allowing by IP address and allow your Vimar IP addrsss instead of by app. Also make sure the ProtonVPN ‘Allow LAN Connections’ is enabled in settings. This assumes Vimar is not using DHCP.

Thanks for the advice, I have just tried but still not working… I am on Note 10+ android 11
