Be aware, atlas vpn are a nightmare, they did the same to me and have heard many similar stories from bigger creators, a few days after your vid goes live they will most likely email you saying that your video didn’t get enough downloads and will basically try to get you to add the sponsored segment to another video.
If they do tell them to fuck off, they do it all the time to newer creators who don’t know better!
We’ve been burned by VPN companies in the past - negotiated rates, put the work in, ad in the pre-roll, posted the video, and then they ghosted us. Thankfully YouTube lets to edit a posted video.
Getting burned like that really changed how I view cold-call sponsorships like that. And VPN companies typically are the worst.
If you can work out your engagement rate that should give you leverage.
Also take a look at your demographics against theirs (SimilarWeb have these stats) if there is a high match e.g 25-34 males based in the United States with an engagement rate above 4% you are in a great spot.
Overall though before any of that. Ask them what their goal is and how they are measuring success. This will allow you to pitch more effectively. If you have questions feel free to DM me
9k something subs here. 1k watch hours per day. I don’t do sponsor spots generally. If I were to consider it, it would be something I personally use or a company which I have a personal relationship with….that way it stays genuine.
I wanted to reply quickly so I didn’t wait on responses to my post. I turned it on them to start, asking the typical rate for such an integration, and if they’d consider an affiliate link. I hear that’s a better deal but I have no idea. Adding that part was mostly to avoid the appearance of me blatantly turning the tables on a rate. I also assume I’m one of many creators they’re reaching out to and would like to continue the discussion, if for no other reason than experience.
I’ll take a look at this stuff and will probably take you up on the DM offer if/when I hear back.

Thumbs up on the experience! I’m in the same boat. I want to reach out to bigger companies but I’m practicing with smaller ones first. They want me to advertise a $500 product which is exciting because clearly I need one to advertise lol. So it’ll be that in addition to a fee.
I’m trying to make ongoing relationships as well so I can be paid monthly.
The random items are fun a first; Toys to your kids, LED lights all over your golf cart, security camers placed on security cameras…
They you just don’t want stuff anymore. My friend just asked me to borrow a laminator, I insisted she keep it, and I threw a ring light in the deal. Another friend wanted to borrow a bearing puller, again, I insisted he keep this large, expensive, hydraulic bearing puller.
