Surfshark had stopped working in my country for over a year now and every time I’d reach out to them for help they’d say they’re working on fixing it asap but it’s been over a year I requested that they carry over the months that it hadn’t been working for and add it onto my subscription and they refused I asked for a partial refund and they refused I asked for any fix for it to work and they’re not helping one bit so I’m paying for a 2 year subscription and half of that it hadn’t been working.

Yep, sounds like SS, eager to take your money but not in the slightest bit interested in giving you the service you have paid for it offering you an extension due to THEIR error

Have you mailed SS? My country also blocked SS recently and by contacting support my issue is solved.
It make sense, you are in a network restricted area. If you want to access websites, you have a few options (on the top of my head), one use Tor, two use Xray proxy and set it up by yourself or pay to use someone’s server, I recommend setting it up by your self on a VPS.
I’m having the same problem here, my husband and I bought 2 years subscription in the UK (since it’s mentioned that it works everywhere) and it was working fine, then we had to move to Egypt and it stopped working ever since, I have 1 year left in my subscription and I have tried contacting the support which was very poor to say the least and when we asked to refund us the rest of the money they said they can’t do it because it’s not in their policy, well they mentioned in their website that it works everywhere and now this is the result for trusting their word?!
I am extremely disappointed and wouldn’t definitely recommend it.
It’s been working a bit spotty for me. Can’t wait to end the subscription in April.
Surfshark is like that. I won’t recommend Surfshark to my enemies. Their support staff waste your time and the issue never gets fixed.
They did the exact same thing for me, worked great while travelling, came home to Canada works completely half-ass bordering on unusable. Went through all the troubleshooting spent wayyyy too much time going back and forth with agents, eventually said this isn’t working for me I want to cancel. They couldn’t refund me so I said ok just cancel my auto renewal. Surprise surprise auto renewal wasn’t cancelled and thankfully I caught it the day before it did. Will never use surf shark again and would not recommend it to anyone.
I have the same problem in egypt. They are sending me openVPN profiles even if its written all over the web that its blocked in Egypt. I have connected via paladin vpn for free, but the speed isnt great. still it means i can do my work without them knowing im in egypt. slow as fuck though. I asked support but they have ignored me now that the half ass solution didnt work. i havent heard anything from them all day. i woudl of thought a global vpn like surf shark would have a solution by now. if a free paladinVPN can get it working no problem then why not surfshark? if they get back to me with a solution im happy to update this thread, as there are no answers on the redit even though i see this issue mulitple times

Exactly I told them I want the VPN to work and I’m willing to wait for it to work just don’t let my subscription go to waste but they said they can’t do that
