Some sites recommends providers based outside of the US (or the 5 eyes), ideally 14 eyes. Thats fine, so I select a provider from another country. However should you also be using a server outside of the 5/14 eyes? If so which country? or if the the jurisdiction of the provider rather than the server that is key? (as data is encrypted between the VPN server and your own PC)?
Anyone use a VPN for all data? 24/7 Do you encounter issues with certain sites (such as google, card payments etc) which fail the VPN check? and ask for capta codes?
Since you are already using a VPN, you are trusting them with your data. It doesn’t matter which server you choose, just choose the server next to your country for a better speed and to hide your identity.
If you are accessing bank or government related services it’s better to connect to your own country to avoid blockade.
It’s a good choice but there’s been a lot of pressure on the country in recent years to have their data more accessible. To the extent of that I don’t know but I read a story on it not too long ago.
